Tulipa 'Copper Image'
Warm copper-rose tones and fully double blooms make for a wonderful double early flowering tulip. It is also pictured here with 'Amazing Grace', which makes a great planting partner, flowering at the same time and height. This year, we also tried it in terracotta pots with the taller 'Slawa', which has the same copper-rose tone at the edges of its darker blooms - a fantastic combination! Flowering...

Tulipa 'Foxtrot'
We introduced this variety to the UK quite a few years ago, after being bowled over by it at Keukenhof. We subsequently supplied bulbs to Gardening 'Which' for their bulb trials, where it won a 'Best Buy' award.The double flowers are in warm tones of pink/rose/white and are held up beautifully on strong stems. Tulipa 'Palmyra'
Tones of ruby red and purple-black merge in a complex melange of rich colour in this fascinating variety. It rather wonderfully fills the gap for a dark tulip a little earlier in the season and is short enough to work well in containers. Flowering from mid-April at 12-14" (30-32.5cm).

Tulipa 'Black Hero'
This handsome, deepest maroon-black variety is a sport of Queen of Night. It flowers late, its modestly sized flowers carried on tall stems.This is one of the last tulips to flower in our gardens, simultaneous with the white, fringed tulip 'Swan Wings', with which it combines well.

Tulipa 'Dream Touch'
We trialled this variety on the farm in spring last year, having already admired it at Keukenhof. The flowers are deep cerise with a white edge and look equally lovely planted in drifts or crammed into containers. We grow it with hyacinth 'Woodstock' and muscari 'White Magic'.

Tulipa 'Finola'
New in 2020
Fully double flowers which start off white with a hint of pink and with fresh green flaming to the backs of the petals. As the flowers mature, stronger, rosier pink tones emerge, creating a charming confection of white and pink shades. Flowering in late April/May at 15" (38cm). It is an excellent substitute for T. 'Angelique' which is not available this season.

Tulipa 'Pink Star'
We have loved and grown this variety ourselves for a number of years, so were delighted when we sourced stock for last year's catalogue. The good news is that we have stock once again for this season. The flowers are a wonderfully romantic blend of pink and peach, with a lovely loose form, rather reminiscent of tree peonies. They are also the perfect height for containers.

Fully double flowers of neyron rose, with darker undertones at the base, blending into strong, dark stems. As the flowers open, they reveal a touch of apricot-gold at the petal edges. Flowering in April/May at 16" (40cm).
