Charming, multi-flowered variety, each stem bearing several flowers carried at different heights. The flowers start off near white, with painterly rose markings appearing as the flowers mature. Large, impressive flowers of lavender-mauve with waved and crested petals. Strikingly ornamental in borders. Becoming quite hard to source. The variety is a sport of 'Bleu Aimable' which is still, arguably, the bluest tulip  available. Fairly recent introduction, with gently curved petals of a good, strong orange, with some green flaming. A less extravagant parrot form which , with its none too heavy flowerheads, stands up well in the border. With its colouring bringing to mind a cockatoo rather than a parrot, this medium-height tulip works well on its own or as a highlight to a pastel scheme. We fell in love with this tulip at Keukenhof this Spring. Seeing the flowers, of a most delicate lavender, massed under cherry trees, was a 'stop in your tracks' moment. Recent addition to the 'Prince' series of short, early flowering tulips. We loved the warm, sunset tones of this variety - the flowers are lit from within with yellow-gold, whilst the ouside of the petals are burnished with rich copper-salmon. Richly coloured flowers of flame-orange with a hint of deep rose. One of the 'French' tulips, which are tall, beautifully coloured and harmonise well with each other.
