Remarkable new variety, with fully petalled flowers of claret, feathering out into a broad white edge. Like a double form of 'Spitsbergen' (it comes from the same grower!). Despite the fullness of the flowers, they hold up well on strong stems. We always feel that tulips with such a strong presence are best used alone, or with a single colour tulip which picks up on one of their tones. They are particularly good for containers and for cutting. Flowering in April/May at 16" (40cm).
