Fritillaria imperialis 'Helena'

We have chosen this new variety of crown imperial for it's beautifully subtle, pale yellow flowers, set off by dark stems. These plants are wonderful for adding height and impact to spring borders and this softer yellow will combine particularly well with all shades of blue flowering spring subjects. Fritillaria uva-vulpis
Dainty bronze and gold pendant flowers on strong stems. Late spring flowering in partial shade. We grow it in a semi-woodland situation, along with narcissus 'Hawera', which nicely picks up on the gold edges of the fritillaria flowers.
