Beautifully formed flowers of near-black have a rich, velvety sheen and undertones of burgundy-pink become visible with the light behind the petals.
Although we use other 'black' tulips where they are appropriate, this is our personal out & out favourite. The flowers are wider than other, more pointed, blacks, so the overall effect is - blacker. A glorious backdrop for the cooler pinks & mauves to show themselves off against. It is particularly good partnered with 'Bleu Aimable'.
