Charming bulbous plant, with strong stems bearing small, lantern-like flowers of yellow with green stripes in summer. The flowers are pleasantly scented- some say of almonds. Growth usually appears after late spring rains.Hardy in all but the coldest situations, given a sheltered position in sun. Good for raised beds, rock or scree gardens. Height 12" (30cm).
